The British part on the Somme, especially 1st July 1916, remains in the national psyche.
Over 72,396 shrouds made in 2018 represent those names commemorated on the Thiepval memorial to the missing of the Somme battlefield.
Of these over 230 were from Burnley, including Richard Hargreaves (pictured).
