100 Stories > Harry Stanworth (1889-1915)

Harry’s parents sent him a parcel of perishable goods. But before he could open it, he was killed.
The contents were divided among his comrades. The label on the parcel marked “grocery” was sent back to his parents with the word “killed” and the date “6/7/15” written across.
Harry was commemorated on the Cameron Mill, Burnley, memorial.
