Royal Edward Troopship sinking

Arthur Altham (1898-1915) and Albert Johnson (1893-1915)  joined the 2/2nd East Lancashire Field Ambulance Royal Army Medical Corps, otherwise known as Callum’s Own. Both were lost when the Royal Edward sank.

Hall opening times : Saturday-Sunday 11am – 4pm (Last entry 3pm)

Shop opening times : Monday – Thursday and Saturday – Sunday 11am – 4pm

We recommend 1.5 hours to view the historic house

Public toilets: Everyday 10am–4pm
