Consultation on Towneley Path Improvements 

The Towneley Park Masterplan identifies that improvements to the Towneley path network and introduction of traffic calming measures are a priority for park users. 

The Council has developed proposals to resurface many existing paths and create some new routes, so that all users, including those with disabilities, can enjoy Towneley on better quality paths. 

We are also developing proposals for physical measures to slow traffic speeds on the roads through the park and create safer crossing places for pedestrians & cyclists and will consult on these in December. Please see a plan of the proposed improvements.

The survey results will provide evidence to help secure external grant funding.
