Dogs at Towneley

Dogs in the grounds

We love our four-legged friends at Towneley and they are welcome to enjoy the grounds surrounding Towneley Hall, provided they are kept on a lead and under control at all times. Dogs are free to enjoy the wider Towneley parkland off their lead, and there are some wonderful walks and trails to explore.

If you are visiting Towneley to walk your dog, please do clean up after them. Pop into the Hall shop for a complimentary poop bag if you find yourself without one.

We have a water dish outside by the entrance for thirsty pooches.

Dogs in the Hall

With the exception of assistance dogs, dogs are not permitted into the Hall. This is to ensure the preservation of our historic interiors, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and provide a comfortable experience for all.

Staff may politely ask for verification where appropriate.

Dogs in the shop and cafe

We are pleased to welcome well-behaved dogs in our shop and have a small selection of dog-related products. Park Life Cafe welcome dogs too.

Dogs in the toilets

We do not allow dogs into the toilets at the Hall. There are alternative dog-friendly toilet facilities at the Bowling Green or the Rotunda, Riverside Car Park.
