Eye-catching images of picturesque countryside and colourful birds are among those on show at a photo exhibition in Burnley.
Professional and amateur photographers from Burnley Camera Club have staged the annual exhibition at Towneley Hall to mark the start of a new photography season.
The club has a membership of more than 30 members, and has chosen over 40 special photos to display at the exhibition, which they hope will inspire an interest in the photography.
Maureen Leaver from the camera club, said: “There is a real mixture of themes and subjects, ranging from beautiful landscapes and stunning portraits.
“We are absolutely delighted with the exhibition and I know the photographers are all very proud to showcase their work.
“If you’re interested in photography, would like to improve your camera skills and like the idea of being a member of a friendly club, then Burnley Camera Club will not disappoint.”
Local keen snappers at the club have been getting together since 1906 to capture the beauty of Burnley including its breath-taking countryside, award-wining parks, and events.
The exhibition runs until 4th June at Towneley Hall which is open Saturday to Thursday 12 noon – 5pm.
